Reunited with his grandson, Rick and Morty experience a variety of adventures throughout the Cosmos and parallel Universes. Rick for different reasons ends up moving into the house of his daughter, Beth, and at that moment he meets his grandson, Morty, of his a 14-year-old boy, shy and not very smart. He is a genius, but he is irresponsible, alcoholic, selfish, a bit depressed and with little sanity. Rick Sánchez is an example of the typical "mad scientist". When NBC fired Harmon in 2013 over discussions between him and the executives of the series he had created, Community, he and Roiland developed a series based on the characters already created by Roiland. The series originated from a rudimentary short film animated by Roiland for the Channel 101 film festival called Doc and Mharti, a parody of the main protagonists of Back to the Future. Roiland is in charge of giving voice to Rick and Morty, the series also includes the voices of Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer and Sarah Chalke. The series follows the misadventures of a scientist, Rick, and his easily influenced grandson, Morty, who spend their time between domestic life and space, time, and intergalactic travel. Rick and Morty is an American adult animated television series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon in 2013 for Adult Swim.
